Ghost Who Walks- Lord of the Apes

Yesterday I got it into my head that there should be a team-up between The Phantom and Tarzan. It just seems natural that two of pulp/comic fiction's greatest Africa-based heroes should work a case together. Add to that the time-line flexibility of the Phantom (there's been an unbroken chain of Phantoms since the 16th century) and it would be so easy to make it work.

So, unable to get the idea out of my head, I scribbled it on paper. Trust me, I know just how rough this sketch is, it's just to get the idea where I can see it to work with it some more. ;)

Back to Major Tom-

These are a couple of 3"X4" thumbnail sketches I banged out this evening. I plan to illustrate David Bowie's "Space Oddity" as a comic. Probably 4 or 5 pages should do it. When finished it will be black and white line art with half-tones in ink wash. After doing these, I dug out my 1968 World Book Encyclopedia and found lots of great reference for 1960's space suits/capsules.
